ERICK E
DJ/Producer and sensation favourite ErickE has spent the last decade at the centre of Dutch house music. His enthusiasm and charisma behind the decks lead to the Best House DJ award 2005/2006 in the Netherlands. Erick has DJ’s across the globe, from London to Ibiza, Miami Beach to Jerusalem, and has also run a series of his own nights, EVE, hosting a series of other top DJs. His work as a producer is also notable, having worked on several collaborations as well as solo projects – in early 2006 his single ‘The Beat is Rockin’ was released in several countries across Europe and reached top 10 in the Netherlands and entered the UK top 40! His energy and danceable grooves will win over the Sensation audience immediately.
ABEL RAMOS
Abel Ramos is one of the top electronic music names, all life dedicated to the music. Behind this Spanish DJ there’s a long experience and awarded career, since 2001 his sound has been exported to countries like Holland, UK, Bulgaria, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Peru, Australia, Morocco and other countries around the world. He has been awarded many times as the best Spanish deejay by different media publications and in the last top 250 from the DJ magazine (Uk) was charted as one of the best world DJ with Dr Kucho, Wally Lopez and Chus & Ceballos.
MARTIN SOLVEIG
Martin Solveig has long had famous French and International DJ status, and with each new release he asserts his position more. His eclectic musical tastes often see the likes of Prince, Michael Jackson and Kurt Cobain being thrown into his mixes, and always make for a goods party. At 21 Solveig started his own label, Mixture, the first release on which sold 10,000copies, and prompted Bob Sinclair to ask him to take part in the Africansim project, and he started to tour Europe. Martin is about to follow ‘Rocking Music’ and ‘Hedonist’, with his third album ‘C’est La Vie’, and with a recent gold album under his belt, he’s going to rock Spain’s first Sensation.
DERRICK MAY
Derrick May built up a name for himself as one of the founding fathers of Detroit techno, a precursor of its many variants and particularly of acid house. His aesthetic, skeletal, melancholy style gained him the nickname of “the Miles Davis of techno”. He introduced both a psychological element and a futuristic vision in dance music. Derrick May will not fail to impress the first Sensation in Spain.
SEBASTIAN INGROSSO
It has been an ‘On the Road’ year for Sebastian Ingrosso, 2007 seeing him touring the world – after a slew of releases in 2005 and 2006, as well as the Swedish House Mafia take-over of the Miami scene and of Amnesia’s main stage in Ibiza. And now Sebastian is looking forward to bringing some of this magic to Madrid.
SANDER VAN DOORN
In just five years, Sander Van Doorn has clocked up more hit records, dance floor destroyers and sell out gigs than most DJs do in a lifetime, and his journey is still in it’s infancy. Having climbed from 200 in DJ Mag’s top DJ chart, to 15 in just one year, the Dutchman is taking the world by storm. His debut album ‘Supernaturalist’, radio show and online TV show on which he streams his bigger live shows, and wining him new fans every minute. With his Best Breakthrough Artist award at the Winter Music Conference and his new residency at Judgement Sundays in Ibiza, guest appearances at Tiesto’s ‘In Search of Sunrise’ and headline sets at Cream, Sensation Madrid is going to top 2008 for Van Doorn.
